Hooks
A fishing hook is a small, sharp tool attached to the end of a fishing line, designed to catch and hold fish. It typically has three parts:
Point – the sharp tip that penetrates the fish’s mouth.
Shank – the straight part connecting the point to the eye.
Eye – the loop where the hook is tied to the fishing line.
Bend – the curved portion that holds the fish.
Barb – a small backward-facing spike that helps keep the fish on the hook (optional in some types).
